HANNA GHABHAIN, MC, LAC

Hanna Ghabhain is an award-winning writer, Jungian scholar, and licensed associate counselor (LAC). Her literary work and scholarship focuses primarily on the philosophy of tragedy; Jungian archetypal psychology and the psychology of symbolism; Irish mythology; and Ecopsychology.

She holds a master’s of counseling and bachelor’s of science in psychology with a minor in global health from Arizona State University. Prior to becoming a psychodynamic therapist, Ghabhain worked as a news journalist and has 13 years of experience covering beats including politics, the courts, and features. Ghabhain was a 2025 teaching fellow and 2024 community writer for ASU’s Desert Nights, Rising Stars Writers Conference and has provided numerous workshops and academic lectures on the topics of archetypal psychology and creative writing.

She lives and works in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona.
